Getting to France

France has many academic institutions recognized worldwide, and these institutions admit both local and international students. However, international students must ensure that their birth certificates are translated and intact to avoid any disruptions during their time at school.

Certificates are taken with all kinds of seriousness and it is important to have credentials that are free from errors. One of the most important certificates in the world is Birth Certificate.

It should contain the name of the owner, the place of birth, country of birth, parents’ name (filliation), and also the date of birth of the owner. Since a lot of international students are admitted into France, it is important to have your certificates well translated into French and free from all kinds of errors.

A translated document can be asked for visa, CAF, social security and sometimes your university. Usually, English or Spanish original documents are accepted.

It’s mandatory to make it by an official translator to be recognized by the government services, otherwise, it will be refused by the French services such as social security and CAF. But the list provided to you if you needed a translation for your visa is different than the ones recognized by the French government. So most of the time you need to pay for both or ask your visa center if our partner (recognized by the French State) is accepted so you will only make one translation.

What to know ?

If you ask for a social security number, upload the birth certificate and translation separately if you have one. If you have a translation but not made by a translator recognized by the French government, don’t upload it, or it will be automatically rejected.

If you have done it already and it has been rejected, you can call them if your application is rejected because of translation because it is not obligatory.
